Ride The Wave π
Anger - we are pissed about our past wave and how we surfed it, who watched us surf it, that we could have ridden a more significant wave with better people.
Worry - we are anxious about our next wave and how we will surf it, how big or small it will come, whether someone will cut us off, or if we will have the speed to catch it.
Presence - focusing on the breath, in the moment, not worried about the past or future, alive, surfing.
βJust ride the wave baby!β
My old friend told me this quote. My old friend yelled this. My old friend made sure I would not forget it. Just ride the wave baby.
Easy to say.
Hard to do.
It is a lifelong journey and practice.
Humans, friends, family, and myself, think we are washed up. We believe we are washed up and have nothing to give to the world or ourselves anymore. Washed up.
Why would I brand this newsletter βWashed Upβ? How depressingβ¦
βYou are so much more than a hockey player Marcus Molesβ is what my second mother would say to me. So why washed up?
Life is about suffering proudly. Life is about seeing the positive in the negative. Life is about seeing the lessons in the failures. Life is aboutβ¦not writing so many run-on sentences to prove the fucking point.
You arenβt washed up (negative). Instead, you are washed up on a new shore, a new beach, a new situation, a new life journey with new people, and it is finally time. It is time to dust yourself off and find the next wave.
You arenβt the experiences of your past. You arenβt the experiences of your future yourself. You are you. You are the loving, adventurous, growing soul.
You are washed up on a new wave. Donβt be sad about the old waves or worried about the new locks.
My old friend again:
Just ride the fucking wave π
